A flexible nasoendoscope is an instrument for used to view the larynx. It can also be used to view the nasal cavity, back of nose (nasopharynx) and rest of the throat (oropharynx and hypopharynx).  There are two main types: 1) a fibreoptic nasoendoscope consisting of bundles of light-conducting fibres and 2) a videoscope (also known as ‘chip-on-the tip’ endoscope) where a tiny camera (CCD) is placed at the end of the endoscope.
